Directed MFG, Inc. (DMI) was established specifically to provide production additively manufactured parts, components and assemblies, in both plastics and metals through our AS9100B quality management system. Using layer-built direct digital manufacturing processes, we are streamlining the way the manufacturing of on-flight parts, tools and patterns is accomplished, eliminating the need for tools and dies. This allows our customers a much broader freedom of design, substantial weight savings opportunities, lower NREs, and reduced inventory costs.

As demand for the technology has increased, Directed MFG has lead this emergent industry by being earnest in our efforts to educate and train our customers. This includes the development of customer-specific design guides and onsite engineering training sessions, which illustrate how and where customers can reduce part counts, maximize designs, and increase part efficiency. In addition to manufacturing production parts, we have aided a variety of customers in developing specs so that the materials and processes work fluently and meet the driving standards of our customers.

In keeping up to pace with the latest technologies and equipment, we offer the latest single and dual-laser platforms, including equipment that features the largest build chamber in the industry. Our lab managers and operators are veterans of this young industry, and have experience that dates back to the initial development of the first additive manufacturing machines. This experience allows us to offer professional fabrication, detailed assembly, and quality inspection through our manufacturing facilities.
