DMLS / R&D SERVICES

DMI is also working to implement our AS9100B quality management system for the manufacture and production of aerospace parts using Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS). DMLS is also a direct digital manufacturing technology, which sinters pure alloys at 20 micron layers using a 200W Yb laser. Future materials currently in development include Inconel, Hastalloy, and Titanium, and are set to be released in 2009. Current materials available with this technology include:

• Stainless Steel 17-4 GP1
• Stainless Steel 15-5PH1
• Cobalt Chrome MP1
